Mary Elizabeth Peacock

Cotten-Bratton Funeral Chapel Weatherford

Mary Elizabeth Peacock went to meet the Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007.

She was an inspiration to all who had the privilege to know her. She was a kind, gentle and loving woman who will be missed dearly.

Born March 23, 1933, she was the eighth of 13 children born to Ruby E. Sisk and Claude Johnson Berry of Parker County. She married Robert (Bob) Peacock and had three children: Wesley (Huck), Devonna Jo (Missy) and Tommy Olin Peacock. Her career of choice was teaching for the Fort Worth school district, specializing in working with mentally handicapped children. We were blessed to have Mary on this earth for the last 74 years, and look forward to eternity spent by her side when we join her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) Peacock; daughter, Devonna Jo (Missy) Peacock; son, Tommy Olin Peacock; mother, Ruby Edith Sisk; father, Claude Johnson Berry; brothers, R.C. (Jack) Berry, Steve D. Berry, Raymond (Unk) Berry, Murlin Berry, Nathan (Peck) Berry, Bobby Wayne Berry; sister, Audy Maurice Berry.

Survivors include her son, Wesley (Huck) Peacock of Weatherford; daughter-in-law, Lisa Peacock of Weatherford; brother, George Berry of Weatherford; sisters, Katherine Henderson of Weatherford, Leona (Buzz) Britton of Weatherford, Rosalie (Pap) Butler of Weatherford, Thelma Mills of Danville, Ky.; granddaughters, Ryan Nicole Hayes of Weatherford, Megan Hindman of Weatherford; grandsons, Michael Peacock of Weatherford, Riley Peacock of Weatherford, Lance Peacock of Weatherford, Ethan Hindman of Weatherford. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2007, at Cotten-Bratton Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Tin Top Cemetery.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at Cotten-Bratton Funeral Chapel.
