Jose Marcos Garcia, 57, of Mineral Wells, passed away Sept. 1, 2007, in a Fort Worth hospital.
Funeral mass was 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Jeff Poirot officiating. Burial was in Woodland Park Cemetery. Rosary was Monday evening at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
He was born March 7, 1950, in Mexico to Nicolas and Simona Gomez Garcia. He married Maria Guillen on April 4, 1970, in Mexico. He was a retired machine operator and had lived in Mineral Wells for just over a year, living in Chicago prior to that. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Garcia, of Mineral Wells; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Armando Paz of Mineral Wells; sons and daughters-in-law, Jose (Cesar) Marcos Jr. and Miriam Garcia, and Julio and Ahuisol Garcia, all of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Sandra Rivera, Brandon Paz, Julio Garcia Jr., Marcos Garcia, Mayela Garcia, Miri Garcia and Max Garcia; sisters, Teresa Garcia of Mexico, Rosario Cruz and family of California; brothers, Pascual Garcia and Alfredo Garcia of Mexico; and parents Simona and Nicolas Garcia of Mexico.
