Harriette Cranford Bielss

Harriette Cranford Bielss, 76, died on Jan. 30, 2014 after a long difficult illness due to multiple health problems. She was born on May 13, 1937 in Mineral Wells to Harlan and Mamie Cranford. She was a lifelong resident of Mineral Wells. She attended Mineral Wells High School and also began working at the family owned dry cleaning business. Her subsequent career in banking began in January, 1977 at what is now known as Bank of America. In May, 1999 she retired due to ill health after 24 years of service there. She was known to be one of their most trusted and respected employees to the point some customers would only allow her to wait on them. Her 59 year marriage to James Bielss began on Aug. 28, 1954. James remains a resident at the Palo Pinto Nursing Center in Mineral Wells where they had last resided together for the past approximate one year. She loved opportunities to be with family and friends, adored all flowers and butterflies, wanted to always look pretty, and had a passion for shopping anywhere, anytime. Survivors are: husband: James Bielss, sons and wives: Tim and Frances Bielss of Paris, Texas, Jeff and Ronda Bielss of Fletcher, Oklahoma, sister: Bobbie Cranford of Alba, Texas, grandchildren: Chuck Bielss of Mineral Wells, Laura Bielss of Paris, Texas, James Bielss of Paris, Texas, and Courtney Nobles of Norfolk, Virginia, great-grandsons: Jeremiah and Luke Dedman of Paris, and numerous longtime friends as well as so many others she has gathered along life’s way. She and her friends enhanced each others lives in ways that many strong, fond memories will linger. The family wishes to thank the staff of Palo Pinto Nursing Center and Odyssey Hospice of Fort Worth for the care extended to Harriette during her final period of life. Visitation will be held at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 from 6-8 PM. The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 2 PM at Central United Methodist Church in Mineral Wells. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery.
