Robert Charles “Bob” Unwin, 63, passed away June 5, 2014, at his home surrounded by family and friends.
A memorial service is 2 p.m., Monday, June 9, at Central United Methodist Church.
Bob was born Feb. 26, 1951, in Aberdeen, Md., to Charles and Wanda Odgers Unwin. He served in the military in the early 1970s. He never stopped learning, earning degrees and certificates in many fields. As his brother says, “Bob was a jack of all trades and a master of many.” He moved to Texas in 1998 to marry his beloved wife, Sheila. Sheila’s family became his family when he came to Texas and he will be missed by them all.
Bob is survived by father, Charles Douglas Unwin, of Raleigh, N.C.; wife, Sheila Holmes Unwin, of Mineral Wells; sons, Jonathon Lee Unwin, of Yuma, Ariz., Michael Douglas Unwin, of Loraine, Ohio, and John Lewis Unwin, of Mineral Wells; grandson, Chase Dominik Unwin, of Yuma, Ariz.; brothers and wives, Doug and Nancy Unwin, of Fuqua, N.C., Craig and Lynn Unwin, of Wilmington, N.C.; and his beloved dogs.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Odgers Unwin.
