Lottie Grace Hudspeth

Lottie Grace Hudspeth passed away on Feb. 9, 2013, in a Fort Worth hospital. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Thursday, 2 p.m., at Woodland Park Cemetery.

Grace was born in Stonewall, Okla., on Sept. 7, 1919, to Alvie and Izetta Siler. Her family later moved to West Texas, where she met the love of her life, Allen (Babe) Hudspeth. They married Feb. 14, 1940, and moved to Rio Grande City, Texas, where "Babe" was stationed with the "F" Troop.

The rejoicing in heaven will be a grand celebration as she is reunited with her family and friends that preceded her in death. Her family and many friends here on earth will remember her everlasting patience, her sweet spirit, her laughter and the great generosity toward everyone she met. Her loving and kind heart was a precious example for all her family and many friends to follow. She leaves us with a lifetime of joyous memories and traditions that will be her legacy and cherished testimony throughout our lives.

Grace worked for the "box factory" for 40 years before retiring. After retiring, she devoted her time doing whatever she could for her friends and family whom she loved so dearly. She is survived by: the love of her life, husband, Allen (Babe) Hudspeth; son Allen Hudspeth Jr., and wife Kay; grandsons, Michael Hudspeth, Eric (Ricky) Hudspeth and Jerry Locker; granddaughters, Theresa McCachran, Lisa Sagona and husband, Jimmy, Connie Krynicki, Kim Sund and husband Gene; 11 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a great grandson.

Condolences may be left at www.bcbfuneralhome.com.
