ARLINGTON – Charles R. Broom, 84, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014. Service: 10 a.m. Friday at Arlington Chapel. Graveside: 3:30 p.m. Friday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Mineola. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Universal Health Resources or Alzheimers Association, Tarrant County Chapter. Charles was born Sept. 18, 1929, to Wylie and Nancy Broom in Perrin. He retired after 38 years of employment with Texstar Plastics. Charles was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He will be dearly missed.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Nancy and Wylie Broom; daughter, Pamela Jean Tadlock; brothers, Don Broom, Jim Broom, Ted Broom, Ned Broom; and great-grandson, Roman E. Price. Survivors: Wife of 45 years, Verline Broom; son, David Broom and wife, Kim, son-in-law, Steve Tadlock; grandchldren, Amanda Beagles, Nicholas Broom, Justin Tadlock; brothers, Robert Broom, Jerry Broom; sisters, Ann Symers, Marguriete Crum, Louise Duvall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
