— Hillmon Clark Renfro, 92, former Mineral Wells resident, passed away on Nov. 8, 2013, in Dallas. He was born in the Salem/Post Oak Community in Freestone County, Texas, on Oct. 4, 1921, the son of Henry and Callie Stradford Renfro. He married the former Jacqueline LaRue McCoy of Mineral Wells, on Oct. 10, 1983.

He served in the United States Army, and was an accomplished cement finisher. Many bridges and edifices in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex stand as a testament to his craft. He also owned and operated a restaurant/cafe in Mineral Wells for several years.

His funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, Nov. 16, in the Laurel Land Chapel in Dallas. Burial will follow at Laurel Land. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Billy Renfro; three siblings: Herbert Hoover Carroll/sister-in-law, Dean, Billie Joe Carroll, Lurline Carroll Sweeney/brother-in-law, James Sweeney, and brother-in-law, Harvey Finnen.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Ms. Jacqueline McCoy-Renfro; sons: McCoy Russell Renfro of Dallas, Hillmon Johnson of Keller; daughters: Ethel Nell (Womack) Finch, Philadelphia, Pa., Linda Fantroy, Dallas, Shelia Renfro Jackson, Mineral Wells, and Sharon Renfro Hayes, Mineral Wells; seven grandchildren: Jacqueline Finch, Christopher Fantroy, (Kendra), Hillmon Clark Ryan Hayes, Phillip Hayes and Anthony, Alex, and Anna Johnson; and five greatgrandchildren; Briana Finch, Christopher Fantroy Jr., Kristoff Fantroy, Kirsten Fantroy and Kamau Fantroy; and five remaining siblings: Emma Lee Carroll Finnen of Austin, Irene Marie Carroll Slaughter of Fairfield, Green Carroll of Longview, Bettie Lou Carroll Brown (Sullivan) of Severn, Md., William Clarence Carroll (Alice) of Houston, sister-in-law Maye Pearl Carroll of Forth Worth, and a host of nieces and nephews.
