Phyllis Jean (Quaid) Woods, 64, of Mineral Wells, died Nov. 8, 2013, in a Fort Worth hospital.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner with Aaron Shaddox officiating.
Burial will follow at Woodland Park Cemetery in Mineral Wells.
Phyllis was born Jan. 10, 1949, in Comanche, Okla., to Richard and Marie Fredrick Quaid. She attended high school in Comanche, Okla. She attended Cameron Junior College in Lawton, Okla. Phyllis received her bachelor’s degree from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls.
Phyllis was a teacher at Pack Saddle in Kingsland, Texas, and in Grand Prairie, and a substitute teacher at CCA, for Weatherford ISD and Mineral Wells ISD. She was a Christian.
Her parents and one sister, Jo Ann Quaid, preceded Ms. Woods in death.
Phyllis is survived by: sons, Sean Kirby and wife Desiree and Chad Kirby and wife Priscilla; stepson Alan Woods; step-daughters Alysia Autry and Angela Reid; grandchildren Daphne, Blayne, Chris, Caleb, Emily and Joshua; step-grandchildren Ethan, Ben, Leah, Rhett, Riley, Brittany and Brandon; brother Richard Quaid and wife Charlene; sister Shirley Olsovsky and husband Ben; as well as numerous nieces nephews and friends.
