Harold Wayne Moore, 79, passed away Oct. 26, 2013, in a Lubbock hospital. He was born March 11, 1934, in Johnson Chapel, the son of Matt and Elsie Hamner Moore.
He married Hazel Mae Walker and she preceded him in death on Feb. 19, 2009. He was a longtime resident of Garner and a member of the First Baptist Church of Garner. He owned the Brazos Shopping Center Barber Shop. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Services will be 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home. He is survived by: his son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Elaine Murphy, of Springtown; step-daughters, Shannon Bell of Ballew Springs and Sheryl Wiklund of Weatherford; grandchildren, Laura Deane of Fort Worth, Brittany Fields of Paradise, Austin Murphy of Fort Worth; three great-grandchildren; brother, Charlie Moore of Aspermont; sisters, Vera Clements of Aspermont, Carol Young of Snyder, Sue Cooper of Lake Palo Pinto; and 19 nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margie Herbert.
