— FORT WORTH – James “Jim” R. Brimacombe, 77, went to be with our Lord and Savior Friday, March 1, 2013. Cryptside service: 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas.

Jim was born Nov. 24, 1935, in McKeesport, Pa., to Flora Belle Gilmore and Harold Edward Brimacombe. Jim graduated from the University of Tennessee and also attended Yale University. He was commissioned in the United States Air Force, embarking on a 21-year career. During his time in the Air Force he was in the Korean and Vietnam wars. Jim was a general’s aide during deployment, was a paratrooper, an expert marksman and was also a Chinese linguist. Jim retired from the U.S. Air Force as captain.

Jim was the Traffic Manager at Atco Rubber Products for 23 years. He loved to play golf until his health would not let him anymore. He also loved to paint. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Survivors: wife, Joanne Brimacombe; brother, Hal Brimacombe; sister, Ray Medeiros; four children, Debbie Quintero, Bruce Brimacombe, Shelly Watkins and Diana Blake; six grandchildren, Jonathan Quintero, Billy Quintero Jr., Ariel Brimacombe, Alyssa Brimacombe, Dillon Watkins, Brody Watkins; and eight great-grandchildren.
