JACKSBORO – Loyd D. “Bud” Clay, 92, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, in Jacksboro, Texas.
Service is 2 p.m. Monday, May 12, at the First Baptist Church in Perrin, with burial in Barton Chapel Cemetery.
He was born Feb. 28, 1922, in Jack County to James Maston and Leona (Alcorn) Clay. Mr. Clay was a farmer and rancher, a member of Perrin Advent Christian Church and loved hunting and fishing.
Survivors include sisters Othela Turner and Georgia Francis; brother-in-law, Gene Hardy; nieces and nephews, Madelyn Mosley, Calvin Francis, Eddie Francis, Debra Tillery, Martha Gifford and David Hardy; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Hardy; brother-in-law, Jack Francis; nephews, Delton Francis and C. C. Mosley; and great-nephew, Scott Mosley.
