Parilee Marie (Butler) Sessum, age 80, rested peacefully in the arms of her Savior, Jesus, on April 23, 2013, at her home in Mineral Wells.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with Daryl Hirst officiating burial in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Parilee was born on Jan. 29, 1933, in Gorman, to Bedford Horatio Butler and Ila Fay (Pittman) Butler. She graduated from Gorman High School in 1950. She married Bobby Joe Sessum on Dec. 23, 1953, in Stephenville. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1987.
Parilee retired from Philips Components in 1996. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star. She was a longtime member of the Countryside Baptist Church in Mineral Wells.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Sessum and wife, Rosemary of Gorman, and Bill Sessum and wife, Leah, of Mineral Wells; sister, Anna Louise Spence, of Gorman; sister-in-law, Joan Butler, of Gorman; four grandchildren, Bobby Joe Sessum, Luke A. Sessum, Cory Sessum and Jacob Sessum. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Arnold Butler.
