Our beloved sister Karen Hull Geitner, 54, went into the arms of our Lord on Tuesday, June 24, 2014.
Service is 10 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
She was born Dec. 28, 1959, to Harry and Mary (Morris) Hull. Before becoming a homemaker, Karen was a cafeteria manager at Ponder ISD for many years and loved serving the children and being known as the “Lunch Lady.” Karen was selfless in every way, always keeping a smile on her face and love in her heart, even during the difficult times.
She is survived by her husband, Chris Geitner, of Ponder; daughters, Mandy Sitzes and husband, Kevin, of Del City Okla., and Sara Shipman and fiancé Dustin Hawkins, of Ponder; sons, Brady Andrews, of Del City, Okla., Christopher Andrews, and wife Phuong, of Del City, Okla., and Duane Shipman and fiancé Rheachel Grace, of Ponder; grandchildren, Samantha Sitzes, Landen Hawkins and Kyiah Shipman; father, Harry Hull, of Weatherford; sisters, Cynthia (Cissy) Alamia, of Mineral Wells, Lydia June Gonzales and husband Rey, of Krum, and Patty Gonzales and husband Hector, of Mineral Wells; brothers, Harry Lynn Hull and wife Jan, of Greenville, Floyd Hull and wife Gail, of Weatherford, Douglas Hull and wife Sherry, of Krum, Michael Hull and wife Chrissy, of Sanger; and mother-in-law, Marilyn Geitner.
Her mother, Mary Hull Hobbs; sisters, Edith Askins and Ronda Hull; and host of other family and friends who preceded her in death greeted Karen at the gates of Heaven.
