OBITUARY: Lou Tishie Hise

Graveside services for Lou Tishie Hise, 78, of Brownwood, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Woodland Memorial Park in Mineral Wells with William Eudy officiating. Lou went home to be with her Lord March 23, 2013, in Brownwood.

Lou was born in Lone Camp on Sept. 20, 1934, to Robert (Bob) Lee and Josie Ann Thornton. She learned to play the piano at the age of 5, and at 8 years of age wrote the school song for Santo.

On Aug. 10, 1952, she married Gilbert Lawrence Hise in Lone Camp.

After becoming a recording artist and playing for so many years, the sound of Lou on the piano can still be heard by many. She loved her family and enjoyed visiting with friends and making new ones.

Those left behind to cherish her memories include her husband, Gilbert Hise, of Brownwood; one daughter, Eva Ann Little of Rochelle; one son, Gilbert Randal Hise Sr., of Harker Heights; one granddaughter, Brandy Ann Kleindorfer, and husband, David, of Deltona, Fla.; one grandson, Gilbert Randal Hise Jr., and wife, Tasha, of Killeen; four great grandchildren, Zachary and Trevor Kleindorfer, Amara Hise and Nathan Nevell. She is also survived by one sister, Bobbie Zinn, of Mineral Wells; four brothers, Roy Thornton, and wife, Nora Beth, of Stephenville; Frank Thornton and wife, Patsy Nell, of Santo; Garland Thornton of Florida; and Troy Thornton and wife, Wanda, of Gordon; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marie Long Walker.

Lou was loved by so many, and she will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to sign the online guestbook at www.nethertonfuneralhome.com.

Netherton Funeral Home and Cremations is in charge of the arrangements.
