Mary Frances Vila passed away peacefully at her home in Mineral Wells on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013.
Service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 108 NW 4th Ave., Mineral Wells, 76067. Interment will be at Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is set for 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., with Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m. at White’s Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Food Bank.
Frances was born on June 6, 1925, to Silverio “Fred” and Romana Estrada. She retired from Mineral Wells ISD as a cook’s helper at Lamar Elementary. Frances’ precious moments were spending time with all her family. She loved cooking, dancing, music, skating and lots of love and laughter.
The Vila family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, food and drinks.
She was preceded in death by: her beloved husband, Frank Vila II; sons, Rudy and Eugene Vila; sisters, Ruth Perez, Lucille Ortiz and Helen Valley; grandchildren, Michael Benavides, Matthew Hamblin, Lisa Rae Pollone, Juanita Botella and Jayden Vila; and her beloved puppies, Precious and Wennie.
Survivors include: children, Jayne Peters and husband, Ed, of Cape Cod, Mass., Linda Jiminez of Mineral Wells, Mary Candelario and husband, Angel, of Mineral Wells, Gloria Simmons and husband, Dave, of Mineral Wells, Guadalupe Mancias and husband, Ernesto, of Trenton, Frank Vila III and wife, Carmen, of Mineral Wells, Paul Vila and wife, Joann, of Mineral Wells, Ricky Vila and wife, Norma, of Red Oak, Teresa Garcia of Fort Worth, Eugene Vila and wife, Regina, of Mineral Wells and Rosanna Burns and husband, Zedric, of Mineral Wells; sister, Juanita Martinez; 35 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
