Teddie Frances Ashby, 92, of Mineral Wells passed away on August 10, 2013.
She was born in Newport, Texas on February 24, 1921; the daughter of Jesse and Eula (Ezell) Haning.
Teddie attended Adams Business College here in Mineral Wells and, with her training, she helped her husband in his plumbing business.
She was a true example of someone being selfless. She gave care to her disabled child around the clock for many years and never spoke a negative word; she only had words of encouragement. Up until she passed, she was giving things away to people who were less fortunate than her. And at her age, she could still play the piano, music was her hobby if you could say she had one. She was more focused on helping others than herself.
Survivors include: sons Jim and wife, Linda Ashby, of Mineral Wells, and Walter and wife, Gail Ashby, of McKinney; daughter Mary and husband, Wayne Livingston, of Wills Point; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, James Haning, of Borger; and numerous family and friends.
Visitation is 10-11 a.m. Friday before the service; Aug. 16, at the funeral home. Service will follow in the chapel, burial will be at Woodland Park Cemetery.
