Wilson Wayne Blocker, 73, of Mineral Wells, died March 26, 2014.
Service is will be held at Mineral Wells Church of God on Saturday March 29, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home.
Born in Perrin, the son of Tom and Vernon (Savell) Blocker, Wayne grew up in the Salesville and the Graford areas. He was a “Jack-of-all-trades” and good at anything he set out to do. He sold cars in Weatherford and in Abilene, was a manager of Goodyear in Weatherford, and also owned Blockers Bargain Barn.
He is survived by his wife, Charlsie Blocker, of Mineral Wells; children, Wayne Blocker Jr. and wife, Susan, of Abilene, Tony Blocker and wife, Myrna, of Weatherford, Suzie Martin and husband, Terry, of Mineral Wells, Kim, of Dublin, Julie Ann, of Granbury, Dee Dee Lanier and Stacy Beers; grandchildren, Cody, Justin, Tacy, Katie, J.J., Courtney, Kayleigh, Rachel, Samantha, Jake, Wes, Jessica, Stormy and Starla; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rosie, Joy, Jaylene and Rita; brother, Gary Blocker; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Tom and Vernon Blocker; and sister, Elfreida Hinshaw.
