Joyce Dahl, 81, of Mineral Wells, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, in Mineral Wells. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Jody Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Fortune Bend Cemetery with Rodney Glover, Craig Goen, Bryan Henrey, Justin Lewis, Kayleb Brush and Jerry Watkins serving as pallbearers.
Joyce was born April 20, 1931, in Archer City, the daughter of Clyde and Emma Lowe Graves, and moved to Palo Pinto County in 1949. She worked for Bob Sturdivant at Sturdivant-Dunaway for many years as a Convenience Store Manager.
She was a Baptist. “Her family was her life, especially her kids and grandkids.”
Forever missed by: daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Jim Mainard of Muskogee, OK, Sandi and Roy Gann of Mineral Wells, Rhonda and Ronald Cowley of Mineral Wells, Tambra Lewis of Mineral Wells, Dondra Fowler of Mineral Wells; son and daughter-in-law, Davis and Buffy Lewis of Graford; grandchildren Rodney Glover, Jimmy Mainard, Dena Goen Terrie Christenson, Carrie Henrey, Brandon Fincher, Staci Fincher, Kayleb Brush, Justin Lewis, Tiffany Blakeney, Dakota Lewis, Hunter Lewis, Trapper Lewis and Nikki Fowler; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Velma Cash of the Metroplex; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ransom Lewis, two brothers and one sister.
