Thanks given for benefit
Kenneth Doyle and family would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who made the Kenneth Doyle tribute a success. The love and gratitude that you all put into it is more than words can express. This extends from all who worked hard to put the tribute together to the ones who came out and supported us. Carolyn and I cannot express enough how we feel after seeing the turnout.
To all the musicians who were unselfish with their time to come and show your support. We are overwhelmed with the magnitude of people who reached out in our time of need. To all the ones who worked so hard on cooking a wonderful meal to serve. And the time spent preparing the meal. To all the businesses who donated items for the auction and for all the individuals who also donated. To the ones who helped with the auction. To anyone who had hand in this tribute, many, many thanks. We especially appreciate all the prayers from every one.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Fireworks were fantastic
I would like to compliment the City of Mineral Wells for the fantastic Fourth of July fireworks celebration. It was one of the finest displays I have ever witnessed.

VIEWPOINT: Supreme Court’s Hobby Lobby ruling falls short
As far as it went, the Supreme Court generally got it right in the Hobby Lobby-Obamacare-contraception case. Unfortunately it didn’t go nearly far enough.
GUEST COLUMN: Who and what is Paul Lawrence Dunbar Community Group Inc.?
We are a group of teachers, students and parents who taught or attended Dunbar prior to integration. Our building is listed in the Texas Historical Record. Our group was deeded this property, with the goal of putting back into community service. Bylaws were drawn up by a group of lawyers and lawyers aides in Austin.

I was wanting to respond to the man against regulating e-cigs.
