Debbie Brock fundraiser on June 22

By Kay Mealio | kaymealio@embarqmail.com

PERRIN – Don’t forget Father’s Day today.

I love to see Bill Cosby perform or read one of his books. I thought this was one of his good sayings about Father’s Day. “Fatherhood is pretending the present you love most is soap-on-a-rope.”

There will be a fundraiser for Debbie Brock, who is in stage IV cervical cancer, on Friday, June 22. The barbecue dinner is $7 per plate at the Perrin Elementary School gym from 6:30-9 p.m. with entertainment provided by Teri Richardson. Live and silent auctions will be held at the same time. All proceeds will be used to help relieve the financial stress associated with Debbie’s illness and treatment. Contact Amy (512) 695-8075 for donations and auction items. Contact Annette (917) 597-7648 for food donations.
