Fall athletics gearing up

PERRIN – On Tuesday there will be a runoff election vote from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. at the Perrin Church of Christ building.

Cross country practice begins for incoming freshmen through seniors (boys and girls) on Monday, Aug. 6, at 7 a.m. Students are to meet by the high school gym. All athletes entering ninth and 11th grades must have a physical on file before practice begins. Contact Coach Jamie Jenkins at (940) 682-6911 for more information.

The Pirate football team’s first scrimmage is Friday, Aug. 17, here at Pirates Stadium against Millsap with the game beginning at 7 p.m. The following Friday, Aug. 24, the team will travel to De Leon to scrimmage at 7 p.m. The first game is Aug. 31 at Pirates Stadium against Meridian with the game beginning at 7:30 p.m.
