DI fundraiser today at school

By Kay Mealio | kaymealio@embarqmail.com

PERRIN – Spring is now officially here and we are receiving some good rains. I was afraid that it might get a bit stormy since Palo Pinto received such a pounding from hail, but fortunately, all we got was a little over 1-1/2 inches of rain with lightning and thunder.

Perrin-Whitt will be sending three high school Destination ImagiNation teams to the state competition in Corpus Christi on April 13. As you know, it is very costly to send that many kids on a road trip. To raise money for the trip, the teams will be having a public performance today in the school cafeteria. The performances start at 2 p.m. and will include the six teams that competed in the regional tournament. After the performances, there will be a dessert auction to help raise money for the state trip. Once again the DI teams are requesting your encouragement for the teams and as many as possible to come and show your support.
