Perrin-Whitt welcomed 356 first-day students

By Kay Mealio | kaymealio@embarqmail.com

PERRIN – The enrollment at the Perrin-Whitt school was 356 on Monday. There were 174 students in elementary and 182 in junior and senior high schools.

The first PTO meeting of the 2012-13 school year is Thursday at 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria. New officers will be voted on. Please come and join!

Diane Edge, high school principal, met with each individual class, greeting them all to the Perrin school system. There are three foreign exchange students at the school this year.

Chris Keeney was selected by the school board to fill the unexpired term of Scott Fowler. He was to run on a special unexpired term at the Nov. 6 school board election. Pat Wright, secretary of the board, will be resigning at the last October meeting as will Michelle Davis. Since there were just three unopposed candidates to fill the vacant three spots, there will be no election because of lack of opposition.
