Graham: many proud family members

All Perrin Junior/Senior High students who plan to participate in sports next year, physicals have been set for May 23, 2013, from 9-11a.m. at the high school in the new gym. Incoming 7th, 9th and 11th grade students are required to have physicals for the upcoming school year.

All other athletes are covered by their previous physical unless they had a serious injury or surgery. If this is the case for your student, they must get a new physical. UIL physical forms will be sent home with students.

Forms may be gotten at the school office. The cost for the physical is $25. Make checks payable to Dr. Trev Dixon. Schedule: 9 a.m.- 8th grade girls; 9:20 a.m.- 8th grade boys; 9:40 a.m.- 10th grade girls; 10 a.m.- 10th grade boys; 10:20 a.m.-6th grade girls; and 10:40 a.m.- 6th grade boys.

Congratulations to the 2013-2014 PHS Treasurettes. Co-Captains are Haylee Fowler and Amber Maness. Other Treasurettes are Brianna Lindsey, Jacie Angelly, Jennifer Fincher, Shantel Zuber, Mariah Ortiz and Elisa Cantero.

School is going into its final mode now because all library books will be due in the school’s library by May 24. You are advised to take care of any library fines before the end of school.

May 21 will be Field Day for grades K-2 with the games from 12-2:30. On Friday, May 24, grades 3-6 will have their Field Day.

Remember there will be no school on Monday, May 27, in honor of Memorial Day.

Kindergarten graduation ceremonies will be Thursday, May 30, beginning at 1 p.m. They will have cookies and punch following the event.

Eighth-grade graduation will be Thursday, June 6, at 7 p.m., with a dance following the ceremony. High school graduation will be Friday, June 7, at 7 p.m.

Thought for the week: Life would make more sense if we could live

it backwards.
