Perrin residents have a blast at fireworks show

By Kay Mealio | kaymealio@embarqmail.com

PERRIN – I heard from my grandchildren that the fireworks for the 4th of July celebration were very enjoyable at the First Baptist Church in Perrin.

We had our family here at the house for Fred’s grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, then had a brief Bible study on Acts before dismissing for the fireworks show. Sean brought a fellow student Megan Meeks, from University of Texas at Arlington to enjoy the Perrin atmosphere.

Sean Fowler left Saturday, July 7, from DFW to travel to New Zealand. His original flight was to go to Denver with an hour layover then on to Los Angeles, but the flight was canceled so he was able to catch a direct flight to Los Angeles. He had a three-hour layover there, then a 13-hour flight to Auckland, New Zealand. In the process, the airline misplaced his luggage so he had to wear the same clothes for a couple of days.
