Our daughter, Christi, and her family live in Graham and, since they have a time share, they go on vacation around the country each year. Often they go Florida or Colorado or some other western state, and this year they are going to Myrtle Beach, S.C. But a couple of months ago when she and her husband went on an anniversary weekend to the Metroplex, and they suddenly noticed lots of things locally they realized they had never taken their children to!
This last week her son came to stay with us, and we tried to discover local places we could go that he would enjoy and that we would enjoy, too.
As the economy is in such a horrible state, it might be good for all of us to discover local places we would enjoy that would allow us to sleep in our own beds at night and not spend money on motels or so much gasoline.
