With the Christmas Spirit in their hearts and wanting to put a smile on the faces of the elderly, on Thursday the Senior Angel Elves visited the Mineral Wells Rehab Center and area nursing homes, handing out gifts and spreading cheer.
The Senior Angel Elves is an outreach program of the Mineral Wells Pythian Sisters Temple No. 14. The goal is to provide Christmas presents and cheer to those elderly and shut-ins who may not receive a gift. This annual outreach is funded by donations from individuals and businesses.
“Senior Angel Elves takes donations year-round to buy gifts for residents in rest homes and rehabilitation centers,” Senior Angel Elves volunteer Clara Smith said. “The Senior Angel Elves is a worthwhile program that ensures that no senior goes without knowing someone is thinking of them during this Christmas season.”
