Linda Gilley has been named interim executive director of the Mineral Wells Senior Center, replacing Vivian Conrad.
Conrad was dismissed as the center’s director last week in reportedly a unanimous vote of the senior center’s board of directors. A reason for her dismissal was not give since it is considerd an internal personnel matter.
Gilley could remain in the position for several months as the center’s board focuses on the center’s services and needs while seeking a permanent replacement.
“Our focus right now is on Taste of Palo Pinto County, taking care of our seniors and implementing new programs,” said board president David Michael Franklin.
The Taste of Palo Pinto County event is set for July 14 and is a fundraiser for the senior center.
