While I’m at it, I must also say how much I appreciate the workshop leaders who generously donated their time.
Mike Greminger of Brazos Valley Physical Therapy, Melinda Gardner of the North Central Texas Council of Governments, elder law attorney Sandra Reed, Shelly Young of the North Texas Alzheimer’s Association, and John “Mike” McCarthy of the Texas Area Agency on Aging gave presentations on key issues relevant to senior adults.
Here’s a big shout out to the 19 Weatherford College Occupational Therapy Assistant students and their teachers who volunteered at the Expo.
Besides running the registration desk and doing a lot of legwork for us, these wonderful young men and women also jumped in to help us clean up afterwards.
They made short work of putting away tables and chairs and taking care of all the heavy lifting. We owe a big debt of gratitude to the OTA group and look forward to a continuing partnership with them this year.
Last, but certainly not least, I’d like to thank all the groups and individuals who came in to set up exhibit tables for the Expo.
The senior participants received a lot of valuable information, not to mention free goodies, from the exhibitors.
Although there are too many to mention them each by name here, we appreciate the time and effort they invested in the health fair.
And thanks to all the senior adults who came out for the Expo this year.
We hope that it was an enjoyable and informative experience for you and look forward to seeing you again next year.
