I kept three of my grandkids last weekend while their parents were out of town. When we stopped by the store, I allowed each of them to choose a giant bouncy ball as a treat. They were very excited until we got to the checkout line, where 4-year old Ashton asked, “Monie, can we get something fun?”
“We got balls,” I replied. “Those are fun.”
With a shake of his head he informed me, “Balls are not fun. Candy is fun.”
Everyone enjoys a little fun, and we at Mineral Wells Senior Center are no exception. Fun comes in all forms around here. Getting our hair cut for Locks of Love was exciting for many of us. Watching the comedic antics of Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert entertained us Monday on Movie Night. Every day of the week the guys in the pool room relish shooting against each other, and the dancers in the place are loving our newest activity – free dance lessons at the center every Tuesday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., open to anyone.
