In 1911, George Bernard Shaw wrote, in the induction of “Fanny’ First Play”: “It’s all that the young can do for the old, to shock them and keep them up to date.”
In following Shaw’s lead in literature, I was impressed with the reality of his suggestion this week. Colon and I, along with our guardian granddaughter, Amie, were seated in the out-patient surgical area of “young” Dr. Diego Marra, outstanding cosmetic and skin surgeon, of Fort Worth. We had been in his office since about 7:30 a.m., waiting to talk to him about the latest effort at the removal of Colon's third, and latest, skin cancer on his right upper lip.
