Reliable weather forecasts can be as unpredictable as the weather

“When it comes, will it come without warning just as I’m picking my nose? Will it knock on my door in the morning, or tread in the bus on my toes? Will it come like a change in the weather…”

The poet Auden was not speaking specifically, and only, about the weather when he penned this particular verse, but the fact that I am doing so will be no denigration of his rhyming skills, nor of my literary selective skills, because I like the rhyme tones and lilt and also because it fits the way I like to begin a discourse on a specific topic.
