— The ninth annual Palo Pinto General Hospital Auxiliary dinner & fashion show will have a distinct “Hollywood” flair. The theme for this year’s gala is “Lights…Camera…Fashion!”
The event is scheduled for Monday, September 16th at the Mineral Wells High School auditorium. Tickets are $30.
A delicious meal will be served promptly at 6:30 p.m. Of course, the meal will be prepared by Dennis Ploeger and his staff from Palo Pinto General Hospital.
The following businesses have been invited to participate in this year’s fashion show: Cato’s, Emerald Lane, CoCo’s Boutique, Bealls, Waldon Feed Store, VF Factory Outlet, Steele’s, Hibbett Sports, Kraze, Auxiliary Gift Shop, Bon Worth, & Mineral Wells Optical.
“It’s a wonderful avenue for these businesses to showcase their merchandise,” said Diane Brown, Director of Volunteer Services and Foundation for PPGH. Our “Master of Ceremony” for the evening is Rhonda Patterson, Director of Laboratory at PPGH.
First Financial Bank has again provided a $1,000 cash door prize, but you must be present to win.
The dinner and fashion show is the Auxiliary’s largest fundraiser.
There were 320 individuals in attendance last year. “We are even hoping for a larger crowd this year,” Brown said. “All proceeds from this event are used to improve the quality of life in Palo Pinto County by supporting Palo Pinto General Hospital.
“The medical community is also a strong supporter of this annual event and we are appreciative to the physicians and everyone who work with us to have such a successful event.”
Auxiliary fashion show committee members this year are co-chairpersons Mary Motley and Judy Pulliam, Elouise Thompson, Sheila Sudderth, Pat Pewitt, Jean Harrington and President Nelda Glover.
“This year we will have two entrances to the event,” Brown said. “We will allow individuals to be dropped off at the back door which is much closer and not quite as far to walk for those who find it hard entering from the front parking lot. There is not parking available so this is drop-off only.
To reserve a table of eight, please call Elouise Thompson at (817) 521-6766 or Sheila Sudderth at (940) 452-0993.
