Last Friday, Palo Pinto County Master Gardener and Sportsman’s World resident Helen Pemberton sent 12 photos of her plants, prolifically putting forth blooms. Her yard was among the many properties burned by the 2011 PK Complex Fire. These are all Texas natives or plants that have adapted to the climate, which meams they need less water to thrive. Visit the Index online at www.mineralwellsindex.com for Pemberton’s descriptions of these plants.
