PALO PINTO – To manage traffic during the annual Buckets and Boots concert July 12 in Graford, county commissioners in a special session on Monday approved changing a portion of Chaney Lane to a one-way street.
From 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the day of the concert, sections of the road from the Rocker B Ranch Amphitheatre at 1125 Chaney Lane in Graford to the intersection with State Highway 254 will be marked one-way for those exiting the concert grounds.
Buckets and Boots benefits area volunteer fire departments. This year’s concert features the Bellamy Brothers, Pat Green, Wade Bowen, Stoney Larue and Josh Weathers.
Commissioners also approved adding Lance LaQuay, a 30-year law enforcement veteran, as reserve deputy constable of Precinct 1.
Precinct 1 Constable Rod Price recommended LaQuay, who, Price said, has experience as a constable, as a border patrol officer and as a narcotics officer.
Additionally, commissioners approved a request from Sheriff Ira Mercer to replace a wrecked patrol vehicle with a 2014 Chevy Tahoe.
