Police respond to various property crime reports

According to Mineral Wells police, officers responded to a variety of property crime complaints over the past week.

Storage shed shenanigans

Officers responded to a theft complaint in the 1200 block of S.E. 12th Avenue last week.

According to reports, the complainant told police a lawnmower, weed trimmer, and several hand tools were taken April 9 from a shed on the property.

No evidence of forced entry was included in the report.

Police listed an estimated value of $1,000 for the missing items.

Microphone fiend

A residential burglary was reported April 9 in the 800 block of S.E. 1st Avenue, according to police.

The complainant told authorities about $500 worth of microphones and cables were taken from the home, according to the reporting officer.

Reports do not include evidence of forced entry into the residence.

Hitchhiking heist

A complainant in the 100 block of S.E. 17th Avenue reported the theft of $147 Monday.

According to reports, the individual provided a ride to an unknown male and later noticed the money missing from his wallet.

Police said the complainant found the wallet open inside the vehicle shortly after dropping the passenger off at his destination.
