The driver of a vehicle that crashed into a house last week escaped significant injury but faces two criminal charges.
According to a Mineral Wells police report, Jakob Bowden, 23, of Mineral Wells, was driving his 2004 Toyota Camry east along S.W. 10th Street when his brakes failed.
Unable to stop at the intersection between S.W. 10th Street and S.W. 5th Avenue, the investigating officer reported Bowden drove through the cross street and ran into a residence in the 1000 block of S.W. 5th Avenue.
Reports indicate Bowden suffered possible injuries while a passenger, Rowdee D. Maxwell, 21, was uninjured.
Though he has not been charged in connection with the crash, he does face one count of driving without a license and one count of possessing narcotic paraphernalia.
