Two elderly residents in the 1500 block of S.E. 2nd Avenue told police an individual walked into their home while they slept and assaulted them.
Police responded to the location Friday and found the victims with lacerations and other minor injuries.
The complainants reported the intruder also took an unspecified amount of cash from the residence.
During the course of their investigation, police identified Joshua Royce Howard, 23, of Mineral Wells, as a suspect in the incident.
Officers obtained a warrant for his arrest from Precinct 5 Justice of the Peace Bobby Hart, a police spokesperson said.
According to reports, Howard was arrested by Palo Pinto County Sheriff's Office deputies late Sunday night in the 1000 block of S.W. 21st Street.
He faces charges of aggravated robbery and injury to a child, elderly or disabled person with intent to cause bodily injury.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Howard remained in custody under bond set at $75,000 and $30,000, respectively, for the two counts.
