7 arrests reported in drug bust

Police say 10 grams of methamphetamine found

Regional law enforcement reportedly made seven arrests and confiscated 10 grams of methamphetamine and two hydrocodone pills in Mineral Wells on March 17.

Mineral Wells police, responding to a report of suspicious activity at a motel in the 100 block of FM Road 1821 North , discovered the suspects in a room around 7:30 a.m. with the drugs and a large amount of drug paraphernalia, a police spokesman said. Additional officers from the Department of Public Safety and the City County Narcotics Unit aided the police with the investigation and the suspects were turned over to the CCNU.

According to a police source the methamphetamine is valued at $100 per gram.

The following individuals have been arrested as a result of the investigation:

• David Ray Pearson Jr., 22, of Mineral Wells, possession of a controlled substance between 1 to 4 grams. He was released on $40,000 bond.

• Amy Ann Lee, 32, of Mineral Wells, possession of a controlled substance between 1 to 4 grams. She was released on $40,000 bond.

• Henry Paul Rischow III, of Mineral Wells, possession of a controlled substance between 1 to 4 grams. He was released on $40,000 bond.

• John Paul Lewis Jr., 38, of Mineral Wells, possession of a controlled substance between 1 to 4 grams. He was released on $40,000 bond.

• Amanda Sue McDonald, 27, of Mineral Wells, possession of a controlled substance between 1 to 4 grams. She was released on $30,000 bond.

• Haleigh Rockelle Peters, 21, of Mineral Wells, possession of a controlled substance under 1 gram.

• Tessie Louise Smith, 28 of Mineral Wells, possession of a controlled substance between 1 to 4 grams. She was released on $30,000 bond.
