K2 arrests made

Local officers pulled over a 1995 Ford Taurus in the 1900 block of U.S. Highway 180 East, March 29, for expired registration. Police found drug paraphernalia in plain sight, according to a Mineral Wells Police Department spokesperson.

He said this initiated a search and arrest of the driver, J.C. Wayne Clark, 21, after police found “several packets” of a green leafy substance, believed to be K-2.

A passenger in Clark's vehicle, Joseph Evans, 24, was also arrested for possession when police “found what they believed to be K2 on his person,” said officials.

Police also reponded to the following:

In the course of the investigation, Jacob Aaron Carl Tankersley, 18, and Kayla Marie Radford-Saint, 18, were arrested for theft over $1,500 and under $20,000, a police spokesperson said. He added that both individuals were also arrested for warrants on traffic tickets.

Shortly after noon on March 30, police responded to a possible aggravated assault at West City Park.

Authorities said several juveniles were playing on a baseball field when one reportedly became irritated. The police report states that this juvenile removed a Swiss Army knife from a bag and placed it to the throats of two different juveniles.

There were no injuries and no arrests made, according to police.
