Everything is in place at Mineral Wells ISD and teachers and staff are just waiting for the kids, who begin Monday morning.
“We have every ingredient to make for a great school year except the kids and we want to welcome them on Monday,” MWISD Superintendent Gail Haterius told the Index.
She said last week 247 teachers and over 225 employees prepared for the opening of school.
Teachers started professional development and preparing their classrooms last week, which Haterius said began with an Olympic-themed convocation. She said, like athletes in the recent London Games, teachers “teach and practice and re-teach and re-practice. There’s no such thing as a normal teaching day. We had a really good week.”
