With the growth Palo Pinto General Hospital Rehabilitation and Wellness Center has experienced over the past few years and the constant beating workout equipment takes on a daily basis, PPGH Director of Therapy Kody Wallace felt that it was time to get some new materials. Enter PPGH Auxiliary.
“If it wasn't for [the auxiliary], we definitely wouldn't be [where] we are now,” PPGH Exercise Physiologist Dustin Jones said.
This marks the third time the the auxiliary has provided the gym with upgrades. Throughout the years, the upgrades have surmounted thousands of dollars, with this particular upgrade costing more than $12,000.
“We are very thankful to have such an organization to be apart of this,” Wallace said.
The new equipment includes:
• Two Precor Recumbents.
• Precor Treadmill.
• BOSU Balance Trainer.
• Airex BeBalanced.
• Skilz resistance band.
• Skilz recoil 360.
• Body Blade.
A Reebok Core Board is coming soon as well.
“The reason the auxiliary exists at all is because our mission and our purpose is to raise funds exclusively for Palo Pinto General Hospital,” PPGH Auxiliary Director Diane Brown said.
The gym operates Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
