Three arrests stem from vehicle descriptions

By CHRIS AGEE

Observant officers made arrests in two separate incidents after identifying the suspects' vehicles from previous descriptions.

The first occurred after Mineral Wells police received a be on the lookout, or BOLO, report from another agency.

Local authorities spotted a vehicle last week in the 600 block of Farm-to-Market Road 1821 North that matched the description.

A local officer investigated and determined it was the same vehicle stolen from Jones County and initiated a traffic stop.

Police arrested James Leonard Faubion, 49, for unauthorized use of a vehicle and unrelated local warrants.

Two individuals were arrested following another traffic stop last week when a MWPD officer noticed a vehicle matching the description of one involved in a recent property crime.

After authorities stopped the automobile, passenger Matthew David Holder, 31, was identified as the suspect in the theft of assorted electronics from a local business.

According to a police spokesperson, the retailer was able to provide security camera footage, which established a description of the suspect and vehicle involved.

Holder was arrested for organized retail theft between $50 and $500 and for a warrant issued by another agency.

The vehicle's driver, Justin Thomas Pender, 25, was arrested on unrelated charges when officers saw an open container of alcohol in the vehicle and determined he was in possession of a prohibited weapon. According to MWPD, he faces charges on both counts.
