Weatherford police recently arrested a man in connection to two recent Mineral Wells crimes, according to authorities.
A WPD spokesperson said officers responded to a call early Friday morning from a Weatherford retailer where an individual was suspected of using a stolen credit card.
Along with two other individuals, the suspect left the store and went to a nearby service station, police said, and officers were able to make contact with the trio.
An investigation revealed Justin Hunt, 27, of Mineral Wells, was in possession of credit cards issued to someone else. Additionally, the pickup truck he was operating was determined to be stolen, police said.
A check of the vehicle's registered owner and the names listed on the credit cards linked Hunt to property crimes in Mineral Wells, according to reports.
A local police source said MWPD officers investigated the incidents and determined the credit cards and vehicle were taken in two separate acts in the 3000 block of South Murco.
One vehicle in the area was reportedly burglarized and the registered owner of the truck told police the vehicle was stolen.
Weatherford authorities said since Hunt was in possession of the cards and truck keys, he was arrested and faces charges of credit card or debit card abuse and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
He was booked into Parker County jail on $7,500 bond for both counts, according to reports.
