Clark and her son, the narrative reads, were standing in the roadway next to the woman's vehicle when Moss returned to his truck and accelerated toward Clark and her son. The son leapt over a metal railing on N.W. 2nd Avenue to escape the oncoming pickup, but Clark was pinned between the pickup and the woman's vehicle.
Moss then fled the scene of the hit-and-run, the police spokesman said. He later lost control of his pickup and crashed into a fence in the 600 block of N.E. 9th Street.
Police investigated the report of an accident at the 9th Street location and found and arrested Moss at the scene, the police spokesman said. He was booked at the police department and later transferred to the Palo Pinto County Jail.
