The Children’s Alliance Center for Palo Pinto County held its first official roll-out fundraiser Friday night and over 120 people showed up to hit the Casino Night tables at Holiday Hills Country Club.

CAC board member Joy Eaton called the evening a success for the relatively new organization to benefit children in Palo Pinto County. She also said some guests won big, such as Lyn and Steve Butcher, who went home with the $1,000 travel voucher, underwritten by Link Field Services, Barbara Upham and Bob Dempsey.

Others who came to play the tables also scored door prizes, including and iPad mini, a LED flat screen TV and more.

“Thanks everyone in attendance for coming out and making this first official fundraiser successful. And want to thank our sponsors,” she said.

Eaton said the event was possible because of sponsors – Link Field Services, Barbara Upham, Titan Bank, First Financial Bank, Cobham Avionics, Ace Hardware, Jonell Inc., Palo Pinto General Hospital, Crawford Carter & Thompson, Cole’s House of Flowers, Studio 107, Pastafina, Farm Bureau Insurance, Jason Johnson Investments, Davis Glass, Dancin’ Etc. and Brazos Market and Bistro.

Eaton said the CAC board also thanks businesses who provided door prizes and in-kind donations, including Titan Bank, First Financial Bank, Arrow Air Conditioning, The Cellar, Holiday Inn Express, Ace Hardware, Holiday Hills Country Club and The Shop on 180.

Eaton said the Casino Night fundraiser rasied “several thousand dollars” for the CAC.

The next fundraiser actually kicked off Friday night and is a raffle drawing for a new Polaris Ranger. Eaton said the CAC sold over 100 tickets at Casino Night.

Tickets for the Ranger are $20 each or six for $100 and will be available at various businesses through Oct. 29. The drawing will be held Oct. 30. For more information call Eaton at 940-325-6931.
