Get on a roll to help out children this month.

This year’s Casino Night fundraiser is scheduled for Sept. 27, 7 p.m., at Holiday Hills Country Club and proceeds will benefit the Children’s Alliance Center for Palo Pinto County.

“Plans are set and we are ready to host another successful Casino Night,” said CAC board member Joy Eaton. “We have had an overwhelming response by many local businesses to provide sponsorships to support this event, which will ensure its success – we wouldn’t be able to do this without their support.”

“Many people are aware that the CAC is undergoing renovation of our new facility,” Eaton noted. “We are only a few short months away from opening and beginning to see clients and assist families. We want to be the best that we can be from the start!”

Eaton said organizers’ goal is “to have the support of our community and to have a successful fundraiser so that we can provide this much-needed service to the children of Palo Pinto County.

“In fact, our tag line for this event is ‘Because the Children of Palo Pinto County are Worth the gamble!’ to coincide with the Casino Night theme,” she added.

Cohen Casino parties will provide the entertainment for the evening, HHCC will provide a cash bar and there are prizes.

Eaton said the top prize for the night is an all-inclusive vacation package to a destination of the winner’s choice, up to $1000. Also, she said there will be an array of other prizes.

Tickets to the fundraiser are $25 per person, which Eaton said includes “an awesome hors d’oeuvres selection provided by HHCC, $200 in ‘play cash,’ to get you started, and, of course, the purchase of each ticket enters you into the grand-prize drawing for the trip.”

Tickets are available now at the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce, Ace Hardware, Titan Bank and Cole’s House of Flowers.
