Harmon Lee Watts, 74, of Mineral Wells, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013, at home surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Anson, Nov. 13, 1938, to Floyd and Grace Watts. He was a loving husband, father and loyal friend to many. He enjoyed serving his community and being a law enforcement officer for 18 years.
Celebration of Life will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Central United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Martha Jane Watts (married July 8, 1956); four children: son, Howard Watts, daughter, Linda Applegate and husband Larry, daughter, Brenda Tarpley and husband Randy, son, Michael Watts and wife Thersa; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers: Elmer Watts, and Larry Watts and wife, Bea; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
He was preceeded in death by parents, Floyd and Grace Watts; brothers, Delton Watts and Orvan Watts; sisters, Pearl Grigsby and Charlene Bradley.
