Lewis home

Whether you’re a modern enthusiast or traditional aficionado, this custom home will captivate all of your senses with a warm contemporary yet traditional style.

Beautiful at every angle, this home features an architectural design by Mineral Wells local Bill Terry of Terry Custom Homes. This 5,600-square-foot home is spacious and perfectly designed for optimal enjoyment whether indoors or out with sound wired throughout for premier entertaining and family enjoyment.

Walking through the landscaped front yard brings guests past evergreen hedges bursting with vibrant red berries, emphasizing the spirit of the holidays. Entering through a beautiful oak door which boasts a beveled glass window guests will enjoy the spacious foyer with a 16-foot ceiling and stone-tile floors.

A striking holiday display is created by the 12-foot Christmas tree next to the arrangement of musical instruments, including a rare and unique Pramberger design grand piano made from an African Pommele wood in a Cherry finish.

The west wing features a large living area, spacious kitchen, walk-in pantry and laundry room. The formal dining area has a luxurious dark oak table that seats 12. Above this is an antique finished triple hanging lamp suspended from the arched ceiling made from oak-finished cedar wood. The kitchen offers a pleasurable cooking experience with a large island bar and 10-foot double-vaulted ceiling with plenty of adjustable light to enhance the gourmet setting.

The living area offers expansive wall space for hanging art and a plush, lounge-like vibe with a wired stereo system connected to the entertainment center above the brilliant fireplace.

The walls throughout the home are a textured antique white scheme with dark oak-finished trim topped by creative cake ceilings enhanced by dark oak ceiling fans.

There are four spacious bedrooms and two and-a-half baths. One of the couple’s favorite rooms is the master bath. The design transforms a utilitarian room into a peaceful private spa featuring a double shower with marble floor and wall with a seamless glass door as well as a garden tub. His and hers vanities make getting ready for any day or event quite convenient.

Finally their most enjoyed part of the house is the 1,200-square-foot covered back patio, complete with all amenities needed for entertaining guests or living a vacation in the convenience of your own backyard.

The patio has built-in misters to cool the open space during the hot summer months in case the nine ceiling fans aren’t sufficient. The vaulted, dark-stained cedar ceiling is a beautiful addition to this wonderful room. An eight-person hot tub is nestled in the corner next to large picture windows that let in the sunshine by day and starlight by night.

The bar, which can comfortably seat 10 people, is perfect for chatting with friends while watching your favorite sports event on the 60-inch flatscreen television.

Exit any one of the seven double doors leading to the outdoor scenery and you are greeted with views of the Olympic volleyball-size swimming pool with a stone three-port waterfall.

“Every weekend is a vacation in our home” says Carmen Lewis. “We are blessed to live in a quiet community with great activities for our family in a safe environment.”
