VETERAN'S CORNER: Recruit Military, DAV join forces for veterans

By JIM VINES

Recruit Military, the nation’s leading full service veteran recruitment company, and DAV (Disabled American Veterans), have formed a partnership to promote the hiring of veterans.

The DAV, an established veterans organization chartered by Congress in 1932, and an advocate for veterans rights, along with Recruit Military, founded in 1998, who connect employers, franchisers, and educational institutions with men and women who are transitioning into civilian life, offer the veteran an outstanding opportunity to continue in their lives productively.

More than 65 DAV-Recruit Military All Veteran Career Fairs will take place in over 35 cities this year to help all those who have served and their spouses. These fairs have been produced by Recruit Military since 2006. By the end of 2015, Recruit Military will have produced 650 events in over 50 cities.

Recruit Military will make its job board at www.recruitmilitay.com available on DAV’s website, dav.org . Posting more than 750,000 jobs in Recruit Military’s database, will help DAV veterans in their search for employment. The partners will share information in each others bimonthly print publications, DAV Magazine and Search & Employ, distributed to military installations throughout the world, National Guard and reserve units, job fairs and recruiters.

Both Recruit Military and DAV are headquartered in the Cincinnati tri-state region. This partnership will further enhance the region’s leadership in support of our nation’s heroes, in addition to the efforts of major local corporations that support veteran employment. Recruit Military’s officers and almost all of its other employees have served in the armed forces of the United States.
